White in Spring
Looking around the garden for white flowers.

Looking around the garden for white flowers.

We’ve had a few rays of sunshine and a hint of spring, but it’s still unusually damp outside.

We’ve had 25 ml (or one inch) of rain in 4 days. For where I live this is wet! We don’t usually have such fluffy clouds. The rain knocked all the blossom off this poor plant before the bees could finish their work.

This plant has never looked so white and pretty. But they’re the wrong flowers for this potplant!
More blossom. This time it’s stunning pink.

Here is a little color on the final day of winter. This poor plant has struggled through WInter. I’ve seen lots of them absolutely thriving, so I’m hoping it will go ahead and develop during Springtime. The tyre, just in case you’re wondering, is protection from the rabbits.

This one hasn’t flowered yet.

I was wondering where all the frogs were hiding lately and hoping that their populations were not threatened. I was surprised today to find this one hiding in a seed tray in my glass house. I got quite a surprise. So did he and he leapt away quite dramatically.
