The end of the hot weather

Today was the last of the hot weather. From now on it will gradally cool down. Hopefully, I’ll be able to get back into my garden for an Autumn blitz. The hot weather and the threat of Japanese encephalytis, spread by mosquitos, (especially in the evenings) has kept me indoors.

Frog in the dark

This little guy was peering through my window. I haven’t noticed frogs around for a while. This is the second one spotted this week. It was difficult to get a picture. I used my phone through the glass.

Mr Whippy meets Gunbower

I thought I was dreaming. The unmistakable sound of an ice cream van, in Gunbower? The poor chap had travelled hundreds of kilometres hoping to make his fortune selling icecreams at a market 80 km further on. Sadly (not for me) business was very poor, so he stopped at all the little towns on his way home to recoup his losses. My gain!

Canna

It’s Autumn, although it’s still hot and humid. The flowers are starting to show their beauty.

And a tongue

If you’re following the development of the mural across my shop window, we’ve come to the end wall. When the door is open you can just catch a glimpse of the danger lurking behind it.
