Around the garden

Looking around the garden for white flowers.

I have been growing a few dwarf mondo grass plants in my glasshouse and I was most surprised to see these tiny little blue balls, almost hidden at the base of the plants. I guess they’re seeds. The colour is true to the picture, really vivid blue! At first I thought the grandkids must have been playing in the glasshouse and put M and Ms there. I did read on the internet that someone else had noticed them on theirs. They didn’t know whether the plants could be propagated from the seed.

Where did July go? Covid lockdowns haven’t helped. Time’s flying by. There are some colours of July.

It’s still wet, so I’ve gone back home. Still I would like to grow such beautiful flowers.

This is a flower that I wouldn’t attempt to grow at home because of the weather difference. It loves it here in the wet.

Noticed this more unusual bloom on one of my hydrangea plants. It’s tiny compared to the other flowers
Silly me. It was late last night when I called it a geranium. I must have been tired.

My Protea bush is surviving despite having fallen over a long time ago. The flowers are beautiful. This one is more cream, not the usual pink.
