Poppy seed…
But not like you usually see them.
I am fascinated by seed pods. They’re mesmerizing.

My state is in Lock Down again. Here’s what I did the house last time, planted some sunnies.
I used to have a row of very overgrown agapanthus out the front of my house. They came out, (with an excavator) and I grew some sunflowers.

The sunflowers grew very well, taller than I had envisaged.

This flower began as a tiny cutting that had interesting leaf shapes. I pinched a very tiny piece and carefully tended it on my windowsill, until it has grown and flowered. The flower is not really impressive but it is very different!
The first two pictures have interesting points of focus.

There are so many stages of a sunflower’s growth. Nature forms the most beautiful patterns and structures in something as simple as a single flower.

This is a strange little red flower. I planted some dahlia seeds and some stunted little plants have struggled to survive.

I adore nerines. They were my mum’s favorite flowers and every time I see one I think fondly of her. I planted a few bulbs in my garden and was pleasantly surprised to see this one flower.

This is an interesting flower. I’m not sure whether its distorted because of the heat or if this is it. I’ll watch the other flowers (if it has any).
