From the glass house

It was a very cold and blustery day. I went off driving and spent some time at Kow Swamp, photographing pelicans. While I was there, shivering, I noticed this bird circling overhead. It was a dull day and I was disappointed in the colours, but I haven’t caught many photos of raptors in flight.

It’s my wedding anniversary so I really have to put up some flowers.

Yesterday I posted some pics of the Darter. Here are a few more.

For Cee’s Midweek Madness Challenge Purple (CMMC)
Thiis bird has stayed around since birth. Meet his family here. Lots of his family have disappeared, but he keeps sitting out front. posing for photographs. I’ve caught him in many new unusual poses. look at his amazing feather patterns.

I can’t wait for the spring rains that bring up wonderful asparagus spears for the family to enjoy. We are lucky because , for whatever reason, it grows wild along the track that is our road, and we have some secret spots that we carefully tend over winter.
Right now you can see the tell tale red seed /berries that reveal the location of asparagus ferns. They’re rather beautiful just as ferns. You can see other images of the asparagus plants here.
Can’t wait for springtime.

I took some pics of this rose from my garden. I’m curious as to which shot people prefer. There is some variation; some just off the camera others, not. Feedback?

A rose for you too, Cee. For Cee’s Flower of the Day Challenge (FOTD)
