Parrot
I was tidying up my photos and I found this one. I’m not sure what sort of parrot this is.
I didn’t notice its mate on a lower branch.

I live in Patho, Australia.

My husband chuckles his way through the animated movie, Madagascar, even when he has seen it before. For some reason this pic reminds me of one of the cheeky little characters in the movie.

See if you can work out the subject from the first picture.

Yes, my favorite palm tree, out front of my house, by the lagoon. The reflection was breath taking.
Where did July go? Covid lockdowns haven’t helped. Time’s flying by. There are some colours of July.

I found some swans in a little channel that abounds the farm. I watched them for ages while they posed. I was pleased to photo them in more unusual poses, rather than floating serenely by. Here’s one, standing on one leg, all fluffed up from the back and with a bendy neck.

These birds tease me endlessly. I know that at least one hangs out very close to the house, by the water. Yet, I’ve found it very difficult to photograph one. By the time I run back in the house for the camera, he moves on. This time I think I found his secret haunt, a little further along. And not only that there are a pair of them. They were so besotted with each other they haven’t noticed me. They did up and take off when a great clumsy duck flew in and invaded their space. I did get a few pics but I would like to get closer yet. I’ll keep trying.

More shots of the bird I introduced yesterday, all fluffed up, having a stretch and cleaning toenails.

I took quite a few photos of this bird, a Whistling Kite. He was showing me many different poses. Here are just some.
