More shots of the Spoonbills

Yesterday’s post had pics of two odd spoonbills. I took lots of pics so here are some more. I’m pleased with my shot of the two of them in flight. I watched a video on photography that said a ‘good’ shot should have them separated, but I like this one, even if it breaks this rule.
This one was taking off.
I also like this shot from behind that show off his bill.
Autumn sunnies

It’s Autumn here and a second crop of sunflowers has emerged from Summer’s seeds dropped in the garden. Just one freak flower has bloomed and look at it. I think it has been attacked by the birds! The temperatures are dropping each day and some chance for rain is finally forecast. I wonder if there will be any more flowers???

I was taking photos of birds long before I started my blog. Today Facebook showed me a memory from a trip around Australia, on this day six years ago and I was stunned with the bird photos. I had forgotten all about them. Aren’t photos wonderful for bringing back so many memories?
This was a bower bird nest in the middle of nowhere. How amazing are they?

One of the few, so I’ve been confined inside and I was tidying up my pics when I came across this one. It is interesting on lots of different levels. There’s a lot going on. It was taken by my husband who picked up the camera while I attempted to take a photo with my phone. I was inside an old wreck surrounded by spiders, taking a photo through the window. Later on a managed to slowly open the window without disturbing the amazing web.
Today, I noticed the two reflections in the window; the paddocks and if you look carefully you can see the reflection of the spider in the phone. Click here and here to see the photos I took.

Just along the track I found a few more ducks. They are also way too beautiful to be shot for ‘sport’. It is against the law to shoot this species. I hope the shooters will respect the law.
Sorry guys. Keeping your heads tucked away won’t save you either.
