Flying away
I wanted to take photos of this little fella, but I think he spotted me and flew off. I think he’s a white faced heron.

His legs are long, but his wings are even more impressive.

A more unusual angle.

A while back I posted pics of a nest of baby birds. One is still a regular visitor here. Follow the links to see the baby Darters
More photos of the darters. When they were very young. and the rest of the family.
They certainly change over time.

There are magpies everywhere. This one lived by the beach, quite a long way from my home.

Thanks Audrey for this comment. The top two ducks are Australian Grey Teal, below is a Pacific Black Duck. I hope they won’t get blown away- soon to be fair game: Duck Season open – 8am on Wednesday 26 May 2021-Season close – 30 minutes after sunset on Monday 14 June 2021. Daily bag limit of five game ducks per day for the entire season.
I too, hope they survive.

My last Koala picture. This time I found one awake and looking interested in me! He was very happy to pose for me and a collection of other passer-bys who looked up in the direction of my lens.

In amongst the seagulls was one black bird, a Sooty Oyster catcher, I think. Seen while on a short break to the seaside.

Here is another koala. This one was being very shy.

Took this picture of a koala in Warrnambool. He was hiding in a gum tree eating leaves.

Spotted this big bird during my visit to my sister in Warrnambool.
