Can you identify the potential flower?

such strange blooms….

Did you know the trumpet part of a daffodil is also known as the corona? These poor daffodils might have a corona problem!

I like these even though they haven’t got the traditional trumpet shape associated with daffodils. The yellow ‘bits’, the coronas, are very disheveled. For more of my daffodils, click here.

The easing of Covid restrictions saw us hop in the car to visit relatives, a 6 hour drive away to the coast. What a treat!!
On the way, we passed these rather odd hay bales. I guess they must have been for the Queen’s Birthday weekend. back in June. I haven’t been out since long before then. To see the farmer’s previous efforts in a past post click here.

Love the queen!

When we got there, the beach was quite deserted

Even the usually frantic beachside cafe was quiet.

And my better half was really enjoying the day!

A selection of daffodils from my garden. My favorite first.

“Fancy some strawberries for dinner tonight Herble?”

“Sounds great, but maybe we could have a snails for something different”

“Hmm maybe someone beat us to them.”

“Or maybe I know who has been drinking my beer.”‘
“Oh well, someone keeps leaving it around the garden. They’ll be more soon.”
