Lace and onions

Some of my self sown sweet peas are this glorious colour.

At least there was some color in the garden.

The up side, I think I got a few really good shots today of some birds. The down side, it’s started to rain. I’ve been working in my garden all week to have it ready to ‘show it off’ tomorrow. This last rain shower will have damaged the beautiful roses. Damn! And it will rain some more to cancel any hope of an outdoor lunch. I’m too tired to be bothered with this post, so it will have to do. I found this thistle while I was cleaning up the garden. I rather like it in all it’s stages of development. So it will do just nicely. The birds can wait.

A special home grown poppy for Remembrance Day
Australians to observe one minute silence at 11.00am on 11 November each year, to remember those who died or suffered for Australia’s cause in all wars and armed conflicts.

I couldn’t resist this red bush, quite common around here. Must be tough to survive. It really attracts the bees and the birds.

Red Hot Pokers have made an appearance in my garden.

I had no posts for today, but as I walked to my front door I spied this one peeking out from a flower pot. Another red flower.

Also for Cee’s Flower of the Day (FOTD)
Finally blooming.
