One Giant Leap…
…for a Spoonbill.
I caught him as he was flying off.

…for a Spoonbill.
I caught him as he was flying off.

I’ve worked hard all weekend and am very weary. Is this creature yawning? I am.

It was a magical day today. Sunshine, balmy, beautiful.

This little visitor was digging around in the mud out in front of my place.

These were in a little patch of creative garden created by children with an amazing teacher for inspiration. I enjoyed travelling around in the last break between lockdowns. It was moments of discovering these sort of gems that I enjoy the most.

Out of Lockdown: Day 2
I think I’m inventing a new calendar. My mood swings with the limitations or lack of them in my life. Today the sun came out, finally. I won’t get ahead of myself because more rain is forecast for tonight and tomorrow. My goal today was to attack my raspberry patch and cut them back. Goal achieved, but maybe the raspberries were cut back too hard. The sun came out and it felt like Spring. Lots of reasons to feel great today. Looking forward with hope.
I took this picture a week ago when the sun’s rays glimmered out from behind a cloud, spotlighting the reeds. My day in an image.

Suddenly there are more pelicans on the waterways around the farm. Form only one or two, there are now lots.

Day 2 of 7 in Lockdown.
Maybe the rain is easing up. Maybe Spring is in the air. I’m waiting for everything to dry out a bit.
This is the road that I live on. It is muddy. My car is covered in it, but there doesn’t seem to be much point to cleaning it off yet. This is about a kilometre towards my neighbour. The road looks smoth, but it isn’t. They milk cows and you can see some of the many calves.

Day 2/7(maybe) of Lockdown 6.0
For a minute there I thought this might be a bird in a tree, some sort of owl maybe… Oh well.
